The EPA today announced the level of assessment for the Brockman Marillana Iron Ore Project as a Public Environmental Review (PER) with a 4 week public review period.

The project is located in the Hamersley Iron province in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, about 100 km from the town of Newman and assumes a production rate of 25 Mtpa, commencing in the fourth quarter of 2011 with a mine life of forty years.

Ecologia is in the process of completing the biological assessments for the project and is also managing the environmental assessment process on behalf of Brockman Resources. The PER is anticipated to be out for public review at the end of 2009.
