The EPA has today approved the Environmental Scoping Document (ESD) of Brockman Resources' Marillana Iron Ore Project in the Pilbara.

The Marillana Project will be capable of producing 17 Mtpa of haematite over a mine life of 20 years.

The ESD outlines the key environmental issues, strategies for stakeholder consultation, further or ongoing biological work and management strategies.Brockman and the EPA set an agreed date for the PER public review period of 10th February to 9th March 2010.

Ecologia has completed the biological assessments for the project and is also managing the environmental assessment process on behalf of Brockman Resources.
