Subscribe to the RSS feedecologia is pleased to advise that Dr Erich Volschenk is taking the role of Senior Taxonomist in our Invertebrate Zoology science team. Dr Volschenk joins us from the Western Australian Museum Department of Terrestrial Invertebrates bringing extensive expertise in terrestrial invertebrates and is recognised as Australia's foremost expert on Scorpion taxonomy. Erich has also previously worked at the American Museum of Natural History Department of Invertebrate Zoology and to date has amassed an extensive list of peer reviewed scientific publications.
Dr Volschenk will add significantly further skill, knowledge and expertise to ecologia's industry leading team of 10 specialist invertebrate scientists. ecologia's Invertebrate Zoology science team routinely undertakes:
- Short Range Endemic (SRE) invertebrate surveys and assessments;
- Stygofauna surveys and monitoring;
- Troglofauna surveys and research;
- Freshwater aquatic invertebrate surveys & monitoring; and
- Invertebrate genetic and taxonomic studies.
