Dr Lazaro Roque-Albelo joins ecologia Invertebrate Science team

Dr Lazaro Roque-Albelo from the Galapagos Islands Charles Darwin Research Station joins the ecologia Invertebrate Science team. Dr Roque-Albelo over a 10 year period was the Theme Leader, Biodiversity baselines, at the Charles Darwin Research Station, Galapagos, Ecuador, leading a team of ecologists, spatial scientists and taxonomists to provide best practice scientific advice on natural resource management to a number of clients including the National Park Service, tourism industry, and local farmers.

Prior to this role Lazaro had been Head of the Native Invertebrates Program and Curator of the Invertebrates Collection at the Charles Darwin Research Station. In these roles Lazaro was the inaugural leader of the invertebrates program which included priority setting, obtaining funding, research, supervision of staff and students, report writing and communication with all stakeholders.

In joining ecologia Dr Roque-Albelo brings a vast level of invertebrate and ecological data analysis expertise to an already industry leading invertebrate sciences consulting team.

Lazaro will take up a role of Senior Invertebrate Scientist managing both projects and clients.
