The Great Bike Ride was established in 2004 and immediately established itself as one of Perth’s most popular community participation cycling events.

The event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Perth to raise significant and vital funds for the St John of God Foundation Horizon House Project, Hope for Children and the Heart Foundation – so by participating riders not only be help one charity, but helping three very important causes make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate than ourselves.

This year's event was held on Sunday 22nd November 2009. All three rides start and finish at Langley Park and participants experience a visually spectacular and scenic tour of the Perth Swan River whilst taking on the awesome challenge of a 10km, 53km or 106km course!!!

A small team from ecologia took part in the event and had a great time, the weather was perfect and it was a great work out. Next year we hope to field a much bigger team !!
