Murchison Metals Limited (MML) currently transports iron ore from the Jack Hills Mine by road to Geraldton Port under existing approval using triple bottom dumper road trains. Due to requirements at the Geraldton Port MML is proposing to develop an ore transfer area located at Cuddingwarra, adjacent to the Beringarra - Cue Road on L20/52. At this laydown, ore will be transferred from triple side tipping road trains into triple bottom dumper road trains. The project is expected to run from approval to approximately October 2011.

Approval to develop the proposed facility was sought from the Department of Industry and Resources (DoIR) under a Mining Proposal process. ecologia's statutory approvals team successfully achieved that approval within six weeks from the development of a draft application.
