Biological Sciences

Ecologia has extensive experience in the design and execution of biological surveys across Western Australia, having completed over 1,500 projects in 23 of the 26 bioregions of the state. We have an in-house biological sciences team consisting of specialists in a range of zoological and botanical disciplines, giving it technical expertise in a wide range of areas. Our team is well-regarded in the industry and is the recipient of two Golden Gecko Certificate of Merit awards for environmental achievement in 1997 and 2003.

Our biological science team can provide a range of biological services in the areas of:

• Zoology;
• Botany;
• Groundwater Dependent Ecosystems; and
• Environmentally Sensitive Areas.

We have developed and continue to maintain excellent rapport with

• DEC staff in Perth and regional offices
• Curator staff at the Western Australian Museum
• Technical staff at the Western Australian Herbarium,
• Academic staff at the University of Western Australia and Murdoch University.

Our stringent procedures and relationships with stakeholders ensure that there are ‘no surprises’ as part of project approvals.

Safety

Ecologia will not compromise on the safety and well being of our personnel. We have a comprehensive safety system which includes procedures for biological field work. Compliance with our safety system is regularly reviewed and spot audited by Senior Management of Ecologia.
