Flora

Western Australia’s flora is diverse and new species are being discovered each year. While many enjoy healthy population rates, some have declined significantly in the face of human activity in their habitats, and over 370 are legally protected to ensure their survival.

The introduction of the Environmental Protection (Clearing of Native Vegetation) Regulations in 2004 requires companies and individuals to acquire approval (or exemption) prior to removing native vegetation. As part of this process, you may have to provide information about rare or protected plants that may be removed from your project area. This is usually achieved through desktop and/or ground surveys.

Ecologia has extensive experience in the design and execution of flora surveys across Western Australia. Our risk based approach and diverse range of methods allow us to comprehensively survey every floristic group.

We cater to projects of any nature, including:

Our team can design and implement flora surveys specific to your project, and which are compliant with EPA requirements. With us, you can be assured that issues of risk to your project schedule are identified upfront and resolved.
