Mosquito Survey Capabilities

Mosquitoes are often a harmless, but annoying faunal group, ruining family outings and lazy afternoons. But, they can also be the vectors of disease and even death.

That is why it is so important to ensure any proposed development does not encourage the proliferation of mosquito species, particularly those whom are vectors of diseases such as Ross River virus, Barmah Forest virus and Japanese Encephalitis, all of which are increasingly common throughout Australia.

Ecologia has a team of invertebrate biologists who are knowledgeable in the design and implementation of mosquito surveys (adult and larval), monitoring programmes and management plans. All identifications are done in-house meaning no costly delays due to taxonomic and transportation requirements.
