Health & Safety

Not just buzz words...

ecologia Environment will not compromise on safety.

Everyone is accountable for their own safety and that of their team members. Rigorous ongoing risk assessments and project-specific safety management plans are an important part of what we do.

Our field safety procedures include;

  • Pre-mobilisation risk assessments and review of management procedures, agreed upon by all relevant group members;
  • Project-specific health, safety & environment (HSE) plans;
  • Training personnel in first aid , four-wheel / defensive driving , equipment use and fauna handling;
  • Ongoing field safety checks and communication procedures;
  • Post-field debrief to identify changes required to equipment or work procedures.

To ensure accountability in all these areas, task-independent senior ecologia staff regularly spot-audit procedures in both the office and the field.
An often-overlooked part of employee health is ensuring staff simply lead balanced, active lives, and we encourage our people to lead healthy lifestyles both at work and in their own time through initiatives such as the following;
