The Golden Gecko Awards are among the highest environmental accolades achievable in the Western Australian mineral and petroleum industries. Inaugurated in 1992, the awards recognise environmental excellence and leadership in responsible resource development. They also acknowledge a company's or an individual's commitment to go beyond basic environmental compliance to promote responsible development and to improve environmentalperformance across Western Australia's resource industry.
