Crosslands Resources Ltd
Crosslands Resources Ltd is one of the largest exporters of iron ore from Western Australia’s emerging mid-west region.
Crosslands owns and operates the Jack Hills iron ore mine, located 380 kilometres north-east of Geraldton. The company is one of the largest tenement holders in the region, and an integral part of the local community.
ecologia Environment has been proud to provide Baseline Flora, Vegetation and Fauna Assessments in the following areas:

- Weld Range
Short range endemic surveys in 2007 identified new populations of the Schedule 1 Shield-back Trapdoor Spider Idiosoma nigrum. A number of priority species were recorded for areas that were to be disturbed at Jack Hills.
Crosslands was subsequently recognised with a 'Golden Gecko Awards for Environmental Excellence' for its research program into a priority species of spider.
The research focussed on the Jack Hills mine site but also involved verification at fellow miner Sinosteel Midwest Corporation’s Weld Range Iron Ore Project.
