Vegetation complexes are defined by individual species of plants and their combinations. The diverse complexes of vegetation in Western Australia change with soil type, topography and climate.

Extensive clearing in WA’s past, particularly in the southwest, has led to comparatively rarer vegetation types with higher conservation levels.

As part of the project approval and clearing permit process , you may have to provide information about the impacts of your project on vegetation.
